Description

2400 series dual-bank manifold system consists of a main gas delivery bank and a reserve bank of cylinders. When the primary cylinder bank is depleted, manunlly “turn off” the valve on the primary bank and open the valve on the reserve bank to reactivate gas fiow.

The changeover of this system needs to be operated manually.
They are used for the manipulation of air-sensitive materials under vacuum or inert gas. For more about the practical aspects vacuum and CM lines, be sure to consult the inquiry page.
You can purchase manifolds as separate items or as complete systems (at a discount relative to purchasing each component separately). Traps, adapters, and storage vessels are also available separately.

STANDARD CONSTRUCTION

24” flexible high pressure stainless steel braided pigtails* with check valve. Rigid copper pigtails are standard when gas service is oxygen. Pigtails for acetylene models are equipped with dry flashback arrestor.
For Acetylene or Fuel gas model, regulator outlet is equipped with a dty flashback arrestor for additional safety. As an option, hydraulic flashback arrestors are available for an additional charge. CM’s high flow regulator series 230 Carbon Dioxide manifold systems are provided with brass regulator.

A breakdown of how our part numbers are configured is shown below for your reference.

1. Choose the Model that best fits your needs.
2. Next, choose the Gas Service that matches your application. Note its corresponding CGA number (below).
3. Locate the Ordering Chart that corresponds with the Model and Gas Service selected (Chart notes appropriate material of construction).
4. Next, choose the Mounting System required. Then choose the number of cylinders required. Locate the corresponding cell on the charts that follow.
5. Complete the Part Number of the system of choice by replacing XXX with the CGA number for the required gas service.

Example: 24120-5*5-1 indicates a 3*3 cylinder dual-bank manifold system. Distance between tow cylinders is 10” on stangard horizontal layout.

INSTALLATION DIMENSIONS

Gas manifolds are a secure and extremely affordable way of connecting and changing out compressed gas cylinders. These useful and affordable pieces of equipment eliminate the need to repeatedly handle the regulator during routine cylinder swaps. Not only will they make changing out cylinders much easier, they will also make the job safer.
